SDO Candon City – Despite the prohibition of face-to-face learning modality, the Schools Division of Candon City successfully opens the SY 2021-2022.
The prevalence of COVID-19 pandemic across the globe has brought many changes in the educational system worldwide. These abrupt changes in the educational landscape have created a gigantic impact on the lives of learners, teachers, parents, administrators, and other stakeholders.
This health crisis has been causing many challenges and threats in the education sector particularly in the delivery of education among the learners. However, despite the threats posed by this pandemic, the mission of all education sectors remains to be at the heart of their service – to provide accessible and quality education among all learners. With this in mind, the Schools Division of Candon City exerted efforts and initiatives to overcome the learning crisis and to respond to the pandemic. As such teachers suddenly adopted and shifted to different modalities of teaching and learning. Modular instruction, online learning, blended learning, and utilization of digital learning platforms were some of the learning modalities adopted and implemented by the division in order to continue providing education.
The initiatives of SDO Candon City under the leadership of SDS Anselmo R. Aludino and ASDS Mariecon G. Ramirez have significantly helped teachers, parents, and learners to overcome the educational challenges amidst the pandemic. The assistance provided has helped teachers become more resilient, assertive, and adaptive to changes – the cornerstones imperative to survive and thrive in this pandemic.
This school year is indeed another year for more challenges. However, teachers are prepared to withstand these struggles. They are ready to cope with the crisis with a greater sense of responsibility and commitment to provide quality education. This is very evident with the preparation that the division has been doing. Truly, Candon City Division is one in the quest for quality education.
